Terms of Service (Extension)

1. Scope
   These Terms govern use of the browser extension "Face Recognition Manager" ("the Extension"). The web service (e.g. yourcut.net) for backup, access control, and billing is covered by separate web service terms. The Extension and the web service are separate, with separate responsibilities.
2. Nature and Purpose
   The Extension is a business support tool to make shared-PC user recording more efficient. It is not face authentication (identity verification or access control). It uses probabilistic face feature matching, not definitive authentication. Use for monitoring, evidence preservation, or HR evaluation is prohibited. The Extension may be suspended or discontinued without notice.
3. Free / No Warranty
   The Extension is provided completely free of charge, with no warranty of operation, accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Device performance, cameras, OS, browser, other extensions, and similar factors may prevent expected behavior. The provider is not liable for resulting damages.
4. Legal Compliance
   Users (including administrators) must comply with the laws of their country or region. Where long-term log retention is prohibited or restricted, change retention settings accordingly.
5. Data Handling
   Face images and video are not stored. Face feature vectors remain only inside the Extension and are not sent or backed up externally. Label names are stored encrypted inside the Extension. Do not use personal information in identifiers. With the paid option, usage history and (by default encrypted) label names may be backed up to the user's own Google Drive. Encryption keys are not stored on Google Drive; they are stored per device on the web service servers. Default backups do not include face feature vectors, so Google Drive data alone does not normally function as information that can identify a specific individual. Backup transfer is performed by the Extension or the user's browser (client-side) connecting directly to Google's services (Google Drive); the service provider neither stores nor relays the backup payload. Record reliability logs, device IDs, and (when enabled) encryption keys may be stored on the backup service provider's servers. See the Privacy Policy for details.
6. Record Reliability Logs
   The Extension includes a simple feature to log actions that may interfere with processing (record reliability logs). This is not a fraud-prevention feature and does not interfere with other extensions. Reliable countermeasures are impossible given the nature of browser extensions. Completeness of these logs is not guaranteed.
7. Administrator Qualifications and Responsibility
   Administrators must be adults (18+) able to manage shared-PC users and backup data. Managing Google Drive backup data is the administrator's responsibility. Users are responsible for their own use of the Extension.
8. Disclaimer
   The Extension does not guarantee matching accuracy or complete records. Mis-estimates, missed records, and non-operation may occur. The provider is not liable for any damages arising from use of the Extension.
9. Web Service and Billing
   There is no charge for the Extension itself. Charges are for maintaining the web service that provides Google Drive backup linkage, and do not guarantee Extension behavior. If low-spec devices prevent expected results, cancel billing on the web service promptly. Cancellation and grace periods follow the web service terms.
